VTC Student Development Foundation, with the objective of nurturing student excellence, was established in 2012 to support meaningful educational programmes through donations raised. These initiatives include conducting whole-person development programmes locally and abroad, setting up scholarships, providing financial assistance for needy students and developing quality exchange programmes, all with the aim to broaden students' horizons, strengthen their interpersonal skills and enrich their experiential learnings. Up till now, the Foundation has subsidized more than 8,000 students in over 400 learning and exchange activities.
The Education Sector has been experiencing unprecedented changes and challenges in teaching and learning amidst the COVID-19 outbreak. Progressive emphasis on digital learning has had a significant impact on student learning. In view of this, we have devised a new campaign - Operation Smile Behind Masks to raise fund for the VTC Bursary and to support students in need of immediate living and study expenses. It is important especially for those who lack digital learning equipment, such as tablets, webcam and Wi-fi for e-learning at home. Your contribution would certainly help them resolve the difficulties and continue their learning in the face of adversity.
Let us stay positive and bring hearts together in the midst of the epidemic. Your support will help many needy students and leave them and yourself a bright smile behind the mask.
